We are already half way through our first term back and I think you will agree how fast it has gone! We have been very busy with our whole new look / name and of course our fabulous new owners Heather and Chris.
We are all so excited for what the future holds and the birth of Little Explorers – keep your eyes peeled and ears open!
As we always say, we are so lucky to have you as parents and we thank you for your continued support through this quiet period. I am more than certain with the ideas and plans we have – there will be no stopping us!
Brand new menus have been introduced and there Is a copy in the reception on the notice board for you to have a look and see what your child will be dining on per week!
Over the next 2 months – Amy is booked onto an advanced safeguarding course in Liverpool and Rachel is attending 5 seminars by Alistair Bryce-Clegg – he is an educational consultant specialising early yearseducation and will bring many more new ideas for our nursery.
Congratulations to Kirsty, who has started University this term and is working towards her foundation degree in Early Years and we wish her all the best with her learning – Can’t wait to see the Pre School room flourish even more.
Little Explorers is now the proud owner of a card machine! – and its even contactless! (for under £30) – we were very excited about this!
Thank You all so much for coming to our coffee morning and spreading the word about us, we had such a lovely morning and are overwhelmed by how many people turned up and donated to Macmillan.
We raised a HUGE £113.36 and we can’t thank you enough!
Find a Book
Children had so much fun walking around our lovely village and hiding books for others to find/read and re-hide for someone else! – It was fabulous to see children of all ages and from all areas finding our books and enjoying them – If you know anyone who found one, please ask them to send us a picture, or tag us on social media!
We have been adding a lot of our activities and achievements onto social media, to broaden our profile and promote our wonderful ‘new’ nursery.
If you ever see a post of ours please give it a like or a share 😊 –and if any of you would like to be superstars then please leave us a review.

As you may of already heard – from January 2020 we are opening longer hours to suit more families and increase the childcare opportunities in Rainford and surrounding areas.
We are really excited about the transition and will be offering a ‘breakfast club’ from 7.30am until 9am alongside a ‘afterschool club’ 4pm until 6pm.
With it being a shared building we will only have limited spaces for afterschool club – which I hope you can understand and places will come at a first come basis.
What we have been up to………
Children in the Nest have loved taking
part in various themes including under the sea ( in which they have created a beautiful
display) The zoo – Textures and Down at
They have been on lovely walks to see the horses and chickens too!
We have also introduced ‘fruit/vegetable of the week’ and have so far included carrots, cucumber and broccoli.
😊 The nest have asked me to remind you to ensure wipes are in your children’s bag for nappy changes 😊
This month our preschool have been busy working together with the nest taking part in fun trips to the farm whilst learning all about various animals.
We have been super busy creating beautiful artwork for our display boards and enhancing all areas with new resources and games.
Reading and Writing have been a focus in pre-school and we will continue to work closely in these areas.
Now the weather is getting a little bit miserable – as a nursery who love to be outdoors and go on walks through the community – can I remind you to make sure children have appropriate clothing for outdoor play – we do have spare coats, just not too many – Wellingtons are also a bonus if you have any, to go splashing in muddy puddles like Peppa!
Just a reminder that we have had to re- new our EYLOG system to change company name, please make sure you have activated your new accounts so you can see all the wonderful things we get up to in nursery!
